Episode 519 – Season 5

episode 519Episode 519 is a special Thursday night Shark Tank. ABC is “testing” the Thursday night slot to see if the Sharks might swim on Thursdays in the future. Four new businesses jump in seeking an investment from the wealthy Sharks and episode 519 features a gender based Shark fight with Lori and Barbara teaming up against Robert, Mark and Mr. Wonderful! Who will prevail and which business sparks the battle?

Sanjiv Patel hopes his line of spicy nuts called Lord Nut Levington fire up a heated Shark fight. Pat Yates brings his ultra comfy slippers called Happy Feet hoping the Sharks slip him some cash. Josh Faherty and Scott Adams pitch Velocity Signs, sign waving machines that replace “sign spinners” at the side of the road. Two women from Macon, GA have created trousers and leggings that give instant, built-in uplift to one’s derriere.

Follow up segments featuring past Shark Tank success stories are a regular feature on Shark Tank.  Episode 519 updates fans on Byron Young and his bean bag bed business, Cordaroys. Lori invested $200K in the business back in season 4 and the giant bean bags have been selling well. Byron’s segment was so popular, his website crashed for two days! There were 24 Shark Tank Episodes for Season 5, but ABC announced they were picking up 4 more episodes in early October 2013. This season features two new Sharks and a host of other surprises. The Shark Tank Episode 519 entrepreneurs will make their best pitch to the panel of five Shark investors who will use their own money if they choose to invest. The Shark Investors negotiate on the spot without any previous information, which differs from typical negotiations between venture capital investors and entrepreneurial start-ups.
