fila manila saucesPrepare your taste buds for an adventure as Fila Manila Sauces, the leading Filipino-American food brand, tantalizes palates and expands its reach across the nation. Founded by the visionary Jake DeLeon, Fila Manila is set to make waves on the upcoming episode of Shark Tank, airing Friday, March 1st. But that’s just the beginning of their flavorful journey.

Breaking barriers and bridging cultures, Fila Manila Sauces has been making headlines with its delectable array of products, including their renowned Filipino Adobo & Kare Kare Peanut cooking sauces, Banana Ketchup condiment, and Ube Purple Yam Spread—each a recipient of the prestigious NEXTY Award for culinary excellence.

Growing the Brand

“We are thrilled to grow towards our vision of representing the next generation of Filipino American flavors and introduce our delicious cuisine to more consumers nationwide,” shares Jake DeLeon, the CEO and Founder of Fila Manila. “Our retail partners see the growing popularity of Filipino flavors and recognize the representation gap of Philippine-positioned products. Filipino Americans represent the largest Asian American community in many states, and interest in our cuisine is at an all-time high, yet there is almost zero representation in most stores.”

Sustainability

With a commitment to sustainability and innovation, Fila Manila Sauces recently transitioned its entire product line away from glass containers to more eco-friendly pouches, reducing its environmental footprint. Additionally, their Banana Ketchup condiment has been officially Upcycled Certified, demonstrating their dedication to reducing food waste by utilizing upcycled banana puree in over 50% of the product.

“Innovation has always been in the company’s DNA, and part of that is the responsibility to create with a mindset of sustainability,” DeLeon emphasizes.

But it’s not just about sustainability—it’s also about quality. The entire Fila Manila Sauces product family, from cooking sauces to condiments and spreads, boasts no artificial colors or flavors, is naturally gluten-free and vegan, and proudly made in the USA. With retail prices ranging from $4.99 to $7.99, these culinary delights offer an affordable taste of Filipino cuisine for all.

My Take on Fila Manila Sauces

I usually try Shark Tank food products, and this will be no exception! The Banana Ketchup is particularly intriguing as I’ve never heard of such a thing. I have had Adobo sauce before and I like it. Next time I’m in Target, I will pick some up.

Do Sharks Like this Sauce?

This business has its products in hundreds of stores in the northeast, upper midwest and west coasts. It’ll only be a matter of time before they’re nationwide. That means the business has SALES! The Sharks like sales.

Kevin isn’t too keen on grocery products so I don’t think he’ll make an offer. Mark usually makes offers on healthy food businesses, so he could make an offer. Daymond usually does,t do food products, so I think he’ll be out. Lori has food products in her protfolio too, so she could be in. Daniel would be the best partner for Jake; if he makes an offer, Jake should take it.
