Lori Greiner is a mentor and investor on Shark Tank and has managed to earn herself a great deal of respect for being able to see what might be a profitable product for an entrepreneur. Behind the Brand interviewed her in 2016, the interviewer asks Lori to share one thing she is really good at that people might not know about her. And the answer is: “Oh, well, my superhuman power, I think the thing I’m really good at, is knowing what people want. I just have a gut, innate instinct for knowing what people want, and that helps me to make the right decisions often.”
Lori reported that this skill has been one of her major enablers in her career; it helped her identify marketable products and make the right decisions. Confidence in her decision-making came with young Lori’s early belief that it was her birthright to be an entrepreneurial spirit. During the interview, Lori recollected always wanting to be independent and not work for someone else. “I was very creative, and I just had to find what it was I intended to do. And I kind of fell into it accidentally,” she stated.
Lori’s Advice For New Entrepreneurs
She remarked that many newbies in entrepreneurship lack confidence and courage to do what it takes. Lori said that hesitation and fear many times hold people back from achieving their success- she encourages people with a career starting point to take huge risks, trust their gut and be committed to working hard.
In her own words, “If you do have any goal for your career or your life, then just fix your mind upon it, and you go on and do all the smart stuff in order to make it happen. “Shark Tank’s Lori also shared her philosophy on problem-solving.
