Episode 513 originally airs December 6, 2013 with four new entrepreneurs pitching the Shark investors. Former NFL defensive lineman Al “Bubba” Baker brings his de-boned, baby back rib steaks to the Tank; he hopes his BBQ pedigree will be enough for the Sharks to sink their teeth into this business. Friends and business partners Chase Hamilton, Alexander Mendeluk, Marley Marotta and Ashley Haber pitch their faux fur hat/scarf combos that express their “passion for the animal world.” Jocelyn Fine and Kelly Dineen, two moms from Bayonne, New Jersey, introduce the Sharks to their fun and funky “mohawks for helmets” called Fohawx. Kickstarter entrepreneur and gaming guru Jan Goetgeluk unveils the Virtuix Omni, and “omnidirectional treadmill” that promises to revolutionize the video gaming industry.

Success stories are shown every week, and Shark Tank Episode 513 has a special treat. Instead of highlighting a past entrepreneur’s business, this week’s update features Mark Cuban and Daymond John as panelists at the Kingonomics Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Investment & Crowdfunding Conference & Gala Reception. The event, which occurred in August, 2013, was established to help address the racial wealth gap through innovation and entrepreneurship. There was also an open casting call during the event, so look for some entrepreneurs from season 5 in the crowd!

Episode 513 – The Shark Investors and Entrepreneurs
The Shark Tank Episode 513 entrepreneurs will make their best pitch to the panel of five Shark investors who will use their own money if they choose to invest. The Shark Investors negotiate on the spot without any previous information, which differs from typical negotiations between venture capital investors and entrepreneurial start-ups.
Companies pitching the Shark Investors must go through a rigorous due diligence process before an on-air deal is completed. Shark Tank Blog follow ups help you keep track of the companies that end up successful and the ones that don’t complete their deal.
