My Take on The Flora Pod

I am an avid gardener. When I lived in Massachusetts, my garden was a showcase. It was loaded with perrenials, shrubs, ivy – you name it. People complimented me on it all the time and I enjoyed the work. When I moved to Florida, I set out to experiment with native plants in my yard. I sought advice from people at our homeowners association plant sales and met with moderate success.

I downloaded the app. It costs $60 a year unless you want to watch ads to use the plant identifier. It’s pretty cool that it can do that, but I already know what I have in my garden. The Pod is cool. It measures heat and humidity and it’s weatherproof. When paired with the app, it’ll give you care tips and let you know the best way to treat your plants. I’m gonna file this one under “pretty cool idea.”

Do Sharks Like Plants?

Aabesh already has investors, but they invested based on knowing he was going to appear on Shark Tank. That means a deal is still possible with one of the Sharks. Lori might be interested as gardening is a hobby of around 185 million people in the USA alone. She could sell these on QVC and she has good contacts in retail. Barbara usually shies away from tech stuff, so I think she’ll be out. Mark and Robert with their tech backgrounds could provide value and make offers. Since it’s a product with presumably good margins, expect a royalty offer from Kevin.
