In the world of military apparel, Torch Warriorwear is making waves with a revolutionary approach to redefine modern-day warriorwear. Meet Haley McClain Hill, a former U.S. Air Force officer, cheerleader, and now the visionary behind Torch Warriorwear. Her journey from serving in the Air Force to creating a line of functional bodysuits for military women reflects a commitment to empowering and inspiring women in uniform.
Living the Warrior Life
Haley’s story is nothing short of extraordinary. While pursuing a math major in the ROTC program at Penn State, she donned both military and cheerleading uniforms, foreshadowing her future endeavors. Over her nine-year career in the Air Force, she wore two uniforms simultaneously—her military garb and cheerleading attire for the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers. Her unique experience as an active-duty officer and NFL cheerleader showcased her dedication to breaking barriers and challenging norms.
Torch Warriorwear: the Inspiration
The inspiration for Torch Warriorwear struck Haley during her time in the Air Force, where she saw a need for a garment that would make women feel empowered while in uniform. Tired of the baggy, uncomfortable, and unattractive t-shirts worn as part of the battle dress, Haley decided it was time for a change. With approval from the Pentagon, she embarked on a mission to create the Torch bodysuit, an undergarment designed specifically to address the needs and comfort of women in the military.
Torch Warriorwear is not just a clothing line; it’s a movement. A global community created by women, for women, Torch aims to celebrate, empower, and serve generations of military warriors. The subscription-based, direct-to-consumer brand offers a range of technically advanced apparel and lifestyle products that prioritize comfort, durability, function, and style—qualities essential for women serving on the front lines.
The Bodysuit
The Torch bodysuit goes beyond being a mere uniform; it’s a symbol of identity, safety, and unity. Crafted with comfort and inspiration in mind, each bodysuit is made in Los Angeles and features signature embroidery, serving as a reminder to be fearless both in and out of uniform. Torch believes that what you wear affects how you feel and perform, and every design solves real problems faced by military women on a daily basis.
As Haley McClain Hill takes Torch Warriorwear to the next level, she enters the spotlight on ABC’s “Shark Tank” on February 2nd. Her journey from military service to entrepreneurship has been a testament to her resilience, determination, and commitment to empowering women in the military.
The Lifestyle
Torch Warriorwear is not just a brand; it’s a lifestyle. It reflects the daring, free-spirited, and ahead-of-its-time character of its founder. The brand’s visionary allure, combining tactical accents with a wardrobe free from constraints, speaks to the modern-day woman warrior. Boots and camo paired with iconic bodysuits define a signature style that embodies the values and inspiration Haley Marie envisioned for Torch Warriorwear.
As we await the outcome of Haley’s pitch on “Shark Tank,” one thing is certain—Torch Warriorwear is more than a bodysuit; it’s a movement that is reshaping the landscape of military apparel and empowering women warriors around the world.
My Take on Torch Warriorwear
I’m obviously not a consumer of this item. I like what Haley’s done to market herself and I admire her community building approach. Thank you for your service, Haley.
Will Sharks get Torched?
I think Haley is getting a deal. In the press photos for this episode, Haley looks very excited. Check out the picture HERE. She looks like she’s pumping her fists in excitement, the way a Shark Tank “winner” would. The question is, which Shark?
My money is on Emma Grede. She likes working with female owned brands and has the know-how to take the brand to the next level. Will it be Emma? We’ll see.
